Operation Walk

Through medical humanitarian organization Operation Walk, Dr. Puri has traveled to countries around the world — China, Brazil, Vietnam, India, Nepal. Dr. Puri has volunteered with the organization since 2005, providing knee replacement and hip replacement surgeries for patients who wouldn’t otherwise have access to the life-changing procedures.

The complex surgeries typically require skilled medical teams of 50 medical professionals, and Dr. Puri’s team has joined him in volunteering for the week-long missions.

Some patients, unable to walk, are carried to village hospitals for the operations. Prior to surgery, some had lost all hope to go on with life. Dr. Puri and his team’s work through Operation Walk not only restores patients’ ability to walk but also restores their hope for a good life.
